What is Content Marketing?

Spread the love

In a nutshell, content marketing is the process of planning, developing, distributing, sharing, and publishing valuable content via channels such as social media, blogs, websites, podcasts, mobile applications, and press releases. Content marketing should create some kind of action. A Call To Action (CTA), is usually found at the end of any piece of content.

If the content worked, then ideally your reader will do what you ask, whether it’s to click through and send an email, or just read another article in the case of web content for example.
The goal is to improve brand visibility, sales, engagement, and loyalty among your target demographic.

Just like any marketing, content marketing needs to have an objective. The objective needs to be audience focused. Be relevant and informative to your audience, guide them, educate or solve problems or answer some questions they may have.

Be capitative, interesting and fun while you do business at the same time. No one will read, watch or listen to your content if its boring. Make it fun where possible, we live in times where content goes viral if it deserves to be, let your audience decide.
